Recoleta is the most elegant neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires. Culture is present in this ancestral neighborhood, from its buildings, to the beautiful talks in La Biela, a place frequented by icons of Argentine literature, such as Jorge Luis Borges and Adolfo Bioy Casares. From this beautiful place we can see the Plaza Francia, designed by the great landscape designer Charles Thays; as well as glimpse the Iglesia del Pilar, which was in turn the founding stone of this neighborhood, since the convent of the recoleto fathers was located there and since then the neighborhood became known as "Recoleta". The Recoleta Cultural Center is usually another of the views of that cafe, this place highly frequented by tourists has a wide range in terms of culture, from the Film Museum to the Museum of Plastic Arts, among others.
One recommendation that we make, whether on foot, by bicycle or by bus, is to visit the 15 museums and cultural spaces called "The Buenos Aires Museum Mile" that can be done between two and three days, depending on the preferences of each one. History, art, technology, science and characters are combined over almost forty blocks.

Palermo Hollywood, like neighboring Palermo Soho, is part of the sub-barrio of Palermo Viejo. Laidback by day, it springs to life at night when sharply-dressed Porteños come out to play at the hordes of bars, restaurants and nightclubs. The area itself sits between the streets Juan B. Justo, Córdoba, Dorrego and Santa Fé/Carranza.
While Palermo Soho focuses on shopping, with a sideline of cafés and nightlife, Palermo Hollywood is all about satisfying your culinary and drinking needs. Scattered around an area of approximately 20 square blocks is Buenos Aires’ largest concentration of bars and restaurants. The Cabrera Palace was built in 1935 as a solidarity work, so that elderly women without families could live in their own place and in a warm and supportive environment.
Filomena and José Devoto dedicated their entire lives to financing social projects in their neighborhood with their own assets, including the Chapel and the "Hogar Devoto" a building for give shelter, education and religion to orphaned boys and girls.
Filomena, now a widow, bought Palacio Cabrera building to honor her husband. The Administration of this headquarters was entrusted to the San Vicente de Paul Society, which also absorbed Hogar Devoto, even after Filomena's death in 1947.
Cabrera's home closed its doors forever in 2010 and was left in the care of a landlord, blending in with the so-called Palermo Hollywood and not attracting much attention other than the graffiti artists who took advantage of its walls.

Today, after an exhibition held by Casa FOA, the Palacio Cabrera (neocolonial-style building) has been remodeled by real estate developer BrodyFriedman. It was a restructuring project that had 36 habitable units on its original structure, which was reformed and restored in its entirety.
